What a terrible office! I want to preface that I was with Westwood Eye Care in MA for 20+ years but having moved to the Dover area a few years ago, I decided to find a local office for convenience. I’ve had glasses since I was 4 so I know how the exams go, etc. I got Dr. Ting at Dover Eye and she couldn’t be anymore monotoned or unenthusiastic to be helping you during the exam. Not a big selection of glasses, either. Two weeks go by and my trial contacts and new frames are in with the updated prescription. You also have to pick up your items in the waiting room…. Really? (Photo attached). I put the glasses on and the lenses are SO THICK. The frames were flat when I looked at them on the display and these ones were rounded due to the “frames”. Really? I wear them for 20mins and knew something was off. It was like she switched my left eye prescription for my right and vice versa. Tried the contacts… same issue. Call them back to a re-examination and she’s like, “oh it looks like I flipped the eyes…” I’m like “that’s what I thought”. Then she took back what she said and said she didn’t mess up! YES YOU DID! Anyways, got a new exam done and she strengthens my prescription. Got the new trial contacts and updated glasses 2 weeks later and they’re still all messed up. After that, I decided to call my old eye doctor 2hrs south of me and they took me two days later and said what Dover Eye gave me was SO off. I got another exam done with Westwood and the prescription is completely different. Dover Eye is a joke. They’re so busy and just treat you like a number. I decided to return the glasses this week and I had to call back after 24hrs because they said they would issue the refund and didn’t. Do yourself a favor.. read the negative reviews and stay away from this office.

First off I came in 20 mins before they closed, getting out work late. Bryce, escorted me to the chair sat me down and broke down EVERYTHING for me. I was able to understand easily what I was spending my money on. That made me very happy 😊 He was super helpful and sweet. He definitely seemed like he truly cared! Definitely recommend this office!

Overall a good experience so far with the doctors. But please do not use the waiting room to fit glasses. I've never had such an uncomfortable experience when others have expressed the same concern in the past it seems. I don't understand when there's plenty of room in the eye glass area with usable mirrors; not in the waiting room. Nowhere else I've experienced this. It's borderline violating patient privacy but if anything, it's disruptive when we saw another woman in the waiting room, who seemed uncomfortable, where she was being fitted for her new glasses with the employee going in and out talking loudly. It was unreal.

Very frustrating experience, July 19 @2pm. I just went in to get a new prescription for contact lenses. That is all I wanted. At the end of my appointment thr doctor dilated my eyes and sent me back to the waiting room saying that I "wasn't done". I've never had my eyes dilated like that before, but if I had known what that entailed and thst it lasts hours I would have never agreed to it. But they just sent me back to the waiting room for over 20 minutes without telling me why they did this to me, what dilating my eyes would do to me, or how long I would have to wait. So I go back to the receptionist and ask how much longer I have to wait because I have to go back to work. She tells me the doctor is seeing another patient! She forgot about me! So I just leave and go home, but unfortunately for me I can't read a computer screen for the next several hours, so I can't go back to work. And another thing, why are the contacts so much more expensive than buying them online? My insurance gives me a $130 allowance and I'm still out virtually the same amount after this allowance as I would be if I had bought them online with no insurance at all. I dint have insurance to give these people a 100% tip! Stay away from this place.
